If you switch to Wave now, NH would probably be the first community-driven OSS project with a non-public developers list. Wave is cool, but what matters more in OSS? Being open, or using the newest cool tool?
The re-motion team invested several hundred hours into making re-linq a nice foundation for LINQ to NH, and I think the effort has paid well. Without invites, we would be locked out. Others just follow the list to get a deeper understanding, and some of them eventually join the discussions, send patches and eventually become committers themselves. How would this work if only a few people have access to the developers list? I know that Wave is tempting. But please, just resist until it's open for everyone.
