I put slightly oversized automotive fuel line on my '83 650 Hawk...used screw
down hose clamps too. It makes 'em real easy to adjust or remove.

Mine(replaced when I did carbs in spring) is 1/4". Originally probably metric
between 1/4 and 5/16. The breathers are the same. I have 2 sets in the garage
now and the fittings are the same as I have on tha bike now.

While messing around on the bike I decided to clean up the fuel line. The
one it came with had what I assumed was a brass coupler in the middle of it for
some reason. I took it off, and it's not a coupler, it's threaded on one end.
Got to looking at it, and the white plastic 'T' between the #2 and #3 carbs
where the fuel line hooks up is bigger than 5/16". The previous owner must have
fancied this brass thingy as a reducer of some sort. I've got plenty of 5/16"
fuel hose, and could run a new one, but it won't hook up to the carbs. Can
anyone tell me if this is correct? Shouldn't it be 5/16" all around or is this
the plastic 'T' on my carbs the wrong one?
