I have taken the petcock of and empties the gas and had a couple of questions I was hoping could be answered.
1. should I remove the electronics on the tank for the fuel gauge? and if so is there anything I need to know to on how to remove? 2. Tank is a little dirty but no rust. What should I clean this with? 3. when I pulled the petcock of it didn't have a filter just A Long white plastic tube. Is there anything else I need to remove? is the filter still in the tank? There are others that people have used but I can't remember the names. A search of the archives would probably pull it up. Some swear by them, others think it will fall off the tank and gum up the line. There are also products that claim to "eat the rust". If you only have a little you might go that way.
