That would be a little difficult to add seafoam while you're riding the bike wouldn't it?

Scot,
I would suggest riding it while putting the SeaFoam to it - it
makes the engines run hot to burn up the carbon and deposits.
Therefore if you're idling - the engine could overheat.

Scott,
I have safely used a whole 16 oz can of SeaFoam in my 3.2
Gallon tanked NH - that having been said - it did idle weird - run
rough etc. I would suggest about a half a can to a tank - thats twice
the recommended 'maintenance' dosage on the can.

So a shop order would be adjust the carbs: 1) set needles, and 2) sync? On my tank of about 3.2 gallons (per manual), how much SeaFoam would you use?

Thanks,

Scott

A carb sync can never hurt the bike, and might just make it run better. However I'm going to stick with my thoughts that you're carbs are a bit gummed up. I would run two tanks of seafoam treated gas through it. Then
adjust the carb needles, then sync them.

When the measurements were taken the bike had been turned off for about 30 seconds, on kick stand, and readings taken with Ryobi laser temp gun. I
have
previously taken readings on center stand and warmed up at idle. The same
differential exists then. Thanks to those providing responses.

True that might make the right hand side run leaner from a float level
difference.

Definitely the 4cyls one coil fires 1 and 4 and the other fires 2 and 3.
Is
the bike on the sidestand while the measurements are being taken?

Scott,
I'm wondering if it might be ignition related - just a guess
here but if it has a two coil ignition system (I assume it does) there is the potential to have one coil going bad, affecting two cylinders,
but not the other two.
I wouldn't think you'd have a 20 degree difference between the
exhaust pipes under normal circumstances.
Full disclosure - I don't have a 4 cylinder NH - anyone want to
confirm / deny my thinking here?

Power seems a little low at less than 3000 rpm, but above doesn’t miss
and
has plenty of power. Carburetors worked about 100 miles ago, use Seafoam over winter and ride about every two weeks for about an hour. Starts
easy
and idles without a problem once warmed up. Do I need to sync carbs or ?

Thanks for any advise,

Scott
