I've sealed a tank before and it worked fine but like Graham it didn't leak
to begin with. The salvage yard by my house has a completely burned up NH650
from a leaky tank that the guy parked next to his gas water heater. Burned
his house down too. I'd test the hell out of it in a well ventilated area
before trusting it.
