Helmets should be a personal choice. It can be just as deadly to wear flip flops and shorts when riding a bike. Being skinned alive is just as deadly and most likely a whole lot more painful than a head injury resulting in death. Being pinned under a bike sliding down the road with nothing between your skin, the pavement, and a hot exhaust is not a good choice either. As for hands free cel phone laws....I'm all for them. I've seen so many people here in Idaho get seriously injured or killed by people texting and/or talking on a damn cel phone while driving. Idaho, in it's infinite wisdom, however, allows these fools to kill motorcycle riders with only a misdemeanor ticket.

I am the only one getting damage by not wearing it, so why it has to be mandatory? here in MD they are increasing the fines for not wearing the seatbelt by quite a lot, plus giving you points...
