Welcome! The 650 Nighthawks are great machines.

The carb cleaning isn't bad, as long as you don't split the racks. The
worst part will be getting them out and installing them again! Tight
squeeze.

Try Seafoam, first. A double strength dose in a fresh full tank of high
test and don't be gentle with the revs, see if that settles things down.
May take a tank or two like that.
