I think you might be being a little too particular. I just get what oil I can get into it, kind of 'squeeze' it out by dabbing it with paper towels I and let it go at that. If its dripping out then there's too much in it. Let as much out as drips out. The idea is for dust particles to stick to the foam rather than pass through. As long as the filter is sticky with oil, it will do its job.
