Well with the weather getting colder you will probably need to leave a bit
of choke on for the first mile or so. How I warm them up is pretty much the
same, get it started, keep it between 2 - 3 K RPM until the choke is about
1/4 or less and then I just ride away. By the time I reach the first stop
sign to leave my neighborhood, it is hot enough to turn off the choke all
together. I does sound to me that adjusting another 1/8 turn out on the
fuel screws would help with your hesitation issue since it is doing it with
an OEM filter. Also the idle should be around 1200 RPM, I'd try adjusting
that up a bit first.
