The guy selling is the original owner and has all of the maintenance records. I have seen his garage and tools I'm pretty confident that he has kept up with the maintenance on the bike. He has a lengthy freeway (highway) commute and the bike was his daily driver until he bought a Suzuki M109. I'm pretty handy with tools myself, the seller and I have discussed the gasket repair, he has the gaskets already. In the pics you can see the 2 up Corbin seat, he has the original as well.
Paul, I would love a new bike, but most of my money goes to my daughters travel volleyball activities. So I have to look at something used. Joey and Allen, the bike is a 2002 and it has FI! In fact, that is the very thing that was behind the grounding issue on these bikes. Honda powder coated the frames and the electronics in the fuel injection was making poor contact to the frame. The fix is to sand off the powder coating a n a few places so it could have better on metal contact. Allen, I don't need to sell the Nighthawk to get the new bike and you are right, just looking to get something a little bigger for longer trips. I enjoy the Nighthawk, in fact, I think it is the perfect most versatile bike if I only had to have one bike. I live in an apartment, but I guess what will probably happen is I'll keep both bikes and just have to rent out a garage somewhere. Here are a few pics of the bike: <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PV5bAP4rT0o/VjzhmLyVbtI/AAAAAAAACr8/EvwI_44Efnw/s1600/vtx1800_1.JPG> <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7QVgTmS8eRQ/Vjzhq0xucnI/AAAAAAAACsE/wpyKFD1dR3s/s1600/vtx1800_2.JPG> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
