I did get a chance to ride it and another VTX 1300 I was looking at. I
think the 1300C is the more practical bike, but I did like the 1800C as
well. Practical in that how often will you ever need 1800cc of power?
That's not really my riding style. I liked the size of both bikes. If they
made a 1300 or 1800 Nighthawk we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

The inline 4 is a "smoother" ride than the V-twin VTX, but there wasn't
that much shaking and rattling going on. I like the lots of torque, the
bikes had a lot of pull. The bike didn't feel heavy at all.

The seller bought the Suzuki M109 because he thought he wanted one earlier
and missed the special financing sale the last time. When it came around
again, he jumped on it. He said the Suzuki is geared/tuned higher so it
responds faster to the throttle than the VTX, but he prefers the riding
position of the VTX better. He said if he wasn't financing the Suzuki he
would have probably gone back to the VTX.

I really like the bike, the high amount of miles is a concern, but I am
confident that regular maintenance has been done on the bike. I'm going to
take it to a dealer for a once over before buying. Any thoughts on what I
should offer for this bike?
