One of his BIG issues on a 250 is going to be wind and wind fatigue. You plan on so many miles in a day and then a 30 MPH cross wind makes traveling a BEAR. (And I've done all my longer journeys on a Goldwing!) The wind from long haul trucks and other vehicles will be really challenging on a 250 so I would recommend he get off the freeway whenever possible and cover the miles on State highways. The going is slower because you usually go through the middle of towns, but it also gives a welcome break from wind fatigue and breaks up the trip with stopping opportunities. (Besides, you really don't get to experience this great country of ours as well when you stick to the freeways only.) Quite honestly 2 weeks sounds a bit short for that kind of trip, but what do I know? :) *Paul LeBoutillier * *www.hondanighthawks.net <http://www.hondanighthawks.net/>* Honda Nighthawk Lovers Email group <https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/nighthawk_lovers> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
