"Don't leave for later, later might never happen." These are words to live by! They say that when you are old and look back on your life, the things you will regret most are the things you didn't do.
I'm going to give you two more suggestions. 1. Don't leave Arches National Park until you find and photograph the Delicate Arch. 2. After you leave Arches, take the time to see Dead Horse Point State Park. When you leave Arches, backtrack a little bit NORTH on Rt. 191 to Rt. 313 to do this. It will be worth it. You will get to the Grand Canyon late in the day. This is actually a good thing, as the directional light accentuates the bluffs. If you want to stay inside the park on the south rim, you can. The rooms are not that expensive. Otherwise, make sure you have enough gas and ride south to Williams, AZ. It's kind of pricey because they have a captive audience, but there are like 3 Motel 6's in one little town, and we stayed in one of them. Since the summer is over, you probably won't have to book ahead on booking.com.
