Now there’s some good thoughts Darin. I’ll check the color of the spark
plugs. There’s some whitish smoke when I run it in the garage with doors
open but I put that down to condensation, etc. my other bikes do the same
in similar circumstances at least initially. I can’t tell if it’s smoking
while I am riding it. I can’t find anyone to ride behind me in 38 degree
weather. Twice I have added a little barleaks to the radiator hoping it
will seal a leak. I think I will also try adding some diesel or cleaner of
some sort to the oil and run it, just in case it is dirt holed up in the
engine. The water pump I can check, that’s easily accessible. Good
thoughts. On this bike there is a cannister of some sort that sits on the
crankcase just to the back of the carbs. If that allows fumes or whatever
out of the crankcase (there is a tube coming out of it , not sure where it
goes), same with breather tube from valve cover to air box. If either of
those are blocked it may be a cause. Graham
