Darin - So here's the scoop...
The bike had the original signals when I got her.
I bought replacement signals, stem and all, and specifically bought signals
with incandescent bulbs so I wouldn't have to get a new relay or mess with
adding capacitors.
The new signals have three wires, which means they can be used in the front
(running AND turn signals).
I'm assuming I can use them in the rear as well but the running wire won't
be connected to anything so that filament won't light up.

Right now she has both of the original signals on the front.
I tried to hook up one of the rear signals but there was no wiring diagram
provided so I have no idea if my guess of which two wires was correct.

Could having only 2 or 3 of the 4 signals hooked up caused the relay to not
work right? Perhaps? I don't know.
Could I have hooked up the new signal incorrectly and somehow blown a fuse?
I don't *think* that would happen in a DC circuit, but I'm not positive.
Could the relay have pooped itself? Yes.
Could I have damaged a ground connection or some other connection on a 30
year old bike by spraying it down with degreaser and hosing it off
repeatedly? Yes, I certainly could have done something stupid and opened a
circuit somewhere.

I'll try a few things tonight and see if I can diagnose the issue. I found
a video on youtube where a guy removed his relay (three wires going to it)
and jumped two of the wires. Then when he flipped the signal switch on the
signal itself would light up, but not blink. If it lights up, the relay is
not doing it's job. It it doesn't light up then no power is getting to the
relay. It makes sense... I think... :)
