for that matter, try changing the channel on the dd-wrt wireless from Auto 
to Channel 1, 6 or 11 - I have found 6 and 11 work best in my household. 
also, on the dd-wrt Status-->Wireless, are you seeing any error packets on 
transmit or receive?
