Incident # 1: Bongo Java Wireless Instantly connects to the unencrypted network, obtains IP address. However no traffic occurs on the network. Unable to connect with any websites Unable to ping to any hosts Incident # 2: Vanderbilt network Two vummiv networks visible Connected to the first vummiv network instantly, obtained IP address Again, cannot initiate any network traffic, no websites reachable Then I tried second vummiv network. (online from there right now) connects instantly initiates network traffic instantly All websites reachable I don't know what to make of this. When I go home tonight, I will try disabling the security and try out your suggestion. As for dd-wrt, I was only using v24 stable and not v24-SP1. But even then it should have worked flawlessly.
