Kevin - I am really looking forward to this. I currently need to maintain a separate spreadsheet showing how I came up with my bucket totals. I may end up allocating $845/month to my auto bucket in MW. When I need to rob this bucket to pay for something else, I need more information...
1. $600 car payment (monthly) = $600/month 2. $900 insurance payment (every 6 months, next in July) = $150/month 3. $120 tire change over (May & October) = $20/month 4. $900 maintenance (annual) = $75/month I don't create separate buckets for all these, but they really are different priority. #1 is a must, #2 & #3 become more important as they get closer and #4 is least important (I can charge a repair after it breaks if I must). If you can somehow make MW help me with this, and export an available balance report for my buckets that I can email to myself and my wife, MW will stay dry when it crosses the river. Peace to you too, Brent > Now I work on spending less by only spending what I have > allocated to my buckets (even if I have to take from one or the other) > and building up a war chest of savings to cover those times when > expenses overcome number 1 above. > > I do have plans to offer more bucket organization but I'm being > careful to not change MoneyWell so you can easily hide your buckets > with cash (or worse, the ones that have negative cash).
