Ah, an anacoluthon!
That's an error caused by rewriting but unintentionally leaving
part of the original wording.  Here, you probably first wrote
"for not being too clear", then decided to change the wording
to "for being misleading", overwrote the "too clear" with
"misleading", but forgot to also delete the "not".
