I don�t know where else to post this question so here goes.
We are installing office 2000 (from an administrative installation
point) on windows 2000.� As administrator everything works fine.� When
we log onto the workstation as someone with user rights we get the
following warnings in the event viewer:
Source MsiInstaller
Event ID: 1000
Failed to Connect to Server. Error: 0x80004001
And also
Event ID 1001
Detection of product �{00010409-78E1-B60F-006097C998E7}� feature
�PPTFiles� failed during request for component
�{CC29E98B-7BC2-1101-A921-00A0C91E2AA2}�
If anyone can give me any hints,tips whatever as to the solution of this
problem let me know.�
I have attempted the following as a fix but that didn�t work:
������� Gave everyone full control to the Microsoft Office folder under
Program Files and also the Administrative installation point.
