That is correct, even if you have v.90 modems on both ends they are only
going to get 33.6 uploads.  Even if you have a digital connection that the
users are dialing in to, the users will still only get 33.6 up.  I have not
worked with v.92 yet but allegedly that will do 48000 upstream.

I just need dial-in access for a few users who are complaining about the
current modems (28.8k).  But what I'm getting is that if I buy a 56k modem
(standard USR v.90), dial-in users with 56k will still only connect at
33.6k?

My options are to go digital, which seems very expensive for what I need,
which is 1-2 dial-in lines at this speed.
