We moved to digital lines(that means PRI lines not POTS lines) with a Cisco
Remote Access Server. Sorry I don't have more details, but someone else
handles all of that for me. I remember him spending a period of several
weeks attempting to get the 56k stuff working.

We use more ISDN for higher speed direct access.

Subject: RE: 56k Modem Question

Lets assume that management enjoys sending me on exercises in futility, what
kind of modem would I need to allow dialin users to connect at 56k? Is
there a particular standard I'm looking for? I know phone lines aren't
great, but if I can make a 48800 connection or so to my ISP, I should be
able to make the same connection to the office, providing we have the right
modems installed.

Thanks

-Warren
