I use vnc at home for my laptop (via wireless network) to control my desktop (connected to the net) I am looking to upgrade my desktop to XP just so I can ditch tightVNC. If remote desktop works as well as it does at work against terminal services , vnc will be tossed.
from a business perspective I see no reason to go to xp (we use sms as well so rdesktop is a non issue) cheers dean -----Original Message----- From: Paul Done [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, 6 March 2002 4:37 p.m. To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: XP ********************************************************************** This email is not an official statement of the Waikato Regional Council unless otherwise stated. I understand some of the bells and whistles but I can do most of this with VNC and not have to upgrade. If this is the "neatest" feature can someone give me other concrete reasons to upgrade. I am asking wondering why else XP could be so important..... I am very satisfied with the stability and ease of use of Windows 2k (relatively speaking) Paul M.
