I use vnc at home for my laptop (via wireless network) to control my desktop
(connected to the net)
I am looking to upgrade my desktop to XP just so I can ditch tightVNC.
If remote desktop works as well as it does at work against terminal services
, vnc will be tossed.

from a business perspective I see no reason to go to xp (we use sms as well
so rdesktop is a non issue)

cheers
dean

I sat through a webcast this morning for Remote Desktop. I understand
some of the bells and whistles but I can do most of this with VNC and
not have to upgrade. If this is the "neatest" feature can someone
give me other concrete reasons to upgrade. I am asking wondering why
else XP could be so important..... I am very satisfied with the
stability and ease of use of Windows 2k (relatively speaking)

Remote Desktop is my favorite.

Also, there are even *less* reboots to deal with in XP (USB storage
devices
don't mind being unplugged midstream)

Hi guys,

Does anyone can tell pro/con's
of implementing Windows/XP instead of Windows 2000/Professional. That
is in
a Windows 2000 server based network

Thanks
