What will make them change their minds is publicity.

I would suggest you contact The Register (http://theregister.co.uk) They like 
to give bad publicity to bullies like Adobe.

I would like to keep my web page and assume that many others also already got 
such a letter.

How is the experiemce negotiating with them. Is it possible, or futile, waste 
of time?
