These are all great things for a workstation, but not really for a server. On 
some occasions, maybe, but not as a general rule.

I try to keep all installed items to a minimum.

Instead, I use portable apps. My "must have" apps include:

Firefox Portable
Evince Portable (PDF Reader)
Putty Portable
WinSCP Portable (FileZilla Portable is also popular) PeaZip Portable WinDirStat 
Portable

Others I would consider including:

Some kind of VNC (UltraVNC, TightVNC, etc) 2X Client Portable (For it's RDP 
client) A file explorer, like Explorrer++ or FreeCommander A screenshot utility 
like Lightscreen.
InfraRecorder Portable
VLC Portable
LibreOffice Portable, or AbiWord Portable.
