Yeah...
Our provider started spewing commercials when the digital move was going to 
happen.
"You don't need to do anything.  Your cable will work just fine!  You don't 
need a new TV or convertor."
That is until the vouchers were no longer available from the government for the 
over-the-air convertors.  After that they announced they would get getting rid 
of the analog channels.  Oh, they would provide up to 3 convertor boxes for 
free... for a while...  Now they charge for them.
AND if you do have a digital TV the channels on it don't match up to the 
channels on the convertor box.  On top of jacking the rates up 10% every year.  
Grrrrr....

  Yah, cable TV is switching to digital broadcasting the same way
over-the-air stations did a few years ago.
