The reps probably have no clue. Honestly, it's mostly geeks like us who

Since I'm on Verizon and my choice of smartphones is limited, I'm going
to try to extend the life of my XV6700 as long as possible (already
running WM6 on it) and hope for some Google Android action soon and/or
that Verizon's promise to open their network really comes to something
soon.

If your carrier is AT&T check out the "Tilt" it's made for them by HTC.
