  We've got a couple of Konica machines, a 7155 and a 7130, we've had
for several years. Their mechanical components are very solid --
we've rarely had anything wrong there. Print quality seems good, and
usually stays that way. We've got them on maintenance contracts, so
they're PM'ed periodically, which helps.

We've had intermittent lockup problems with the 7130, but that may
have been due to power quality. Since I put it on a voltage regular
it seems better behaved.

I will say that they are not designed with "ease of service" in
mind. Many maintenance operations require the techs to disassemble
other pieces to access the part they want, and most everything is held
together with large numbers of tiny screws. If I was servicing them
myself I'd hate 'em. See above about service contract.

I'd also give them poorer marks in usability. The front panel UI is
rather clunky and can be hard to use. Engrish is common. The manual
is sketchy. Unfortunately, this seems to be the norm when it comes to
copiers. So maybe that makes them typical. ~shrug~
