Has anyone done any in-place updates from Server 2008 to 2008 R2? If so, what were your experiences?
I've Google'd this and have found less information that I expected. The consensus seems to be that it should work if the stars are properly aligned. The key is you need to already be running the 64-bit version of 2008; you can't jump from 32-bit to 64-bit.
