Are you running under a restricted user acct? Was outlook initially run under an administrator acct first?
We had a problem with Outlook 97 or Outlook 2000, in which the first time you ran outlook, it grabbed the registry settings. If any other user tried to run outlook, it would fail with an error. Unfortunately, it was a while ago and I dont remember the details. But, we had to delete some registry settings, and dance around to get Outlook to run. I think I created a batch file to set the settings so users could run it. It was a lab environment, so it was not continuous use, we would just reset before the next class. Although users running with admin rights had no problems at all. Could it be that Microsoft has an old problem reoccurring?
