I don't think so. From what I've read of news reports in the past, when they are seizing hardware, they usually just want evidence for prosecution of other crimes. If the law wants to stop you from doing something, they just issue a court order to the provider telling them to shut you off. Some caveats: (1) That analysis is based on news reports, so the sample is biased to high profile cases.
