We''ll definitely benefit from having the Houdini reader... thanks Johannes.
On the same note... Is there a workaround to create deep information as
separate images... so the we can put together to create a deep image. For
example, a render containing a smoke simulation using Maya or Houdini fluids,
is there a way of rendering this as series of elements that can be put together
to create deep information?

Subject: Re: [Nuke-users] Deep Images coming from Houdini

Hey guys,

i will finish off the houdini reader that i am writing for fuel rigth now and
then either give it to the foundry or open source it. The major problem with it
is NOT the code its pretty easy to write, the biggest issue is that houdini
needs a lic when using the libraries, meaning if you are short on houdini lics
your compers cant use it >> OpenEXR2.0 should solve that. That said maybe a
nuke reader and a commandline converter is the way to go ;)

I keep you posted on the issue
