Silly question but: are you sure your viewer is locked to the camera?
If so, maybe it's a graphics card issue. Back in the days we had this issue a lot with 3D apps and had to disablethe graphi'cs card openGL to make such previews work. I was hoping that wouldn't be required anymore theses days though.

It's an animated camera move but the  viewer won't update as it's writing
