The OAE can't be used as a standalone course management system, and
you won't see a native gradebook tool or support for assignment
submission workflows by September (although features to support
assignment activities are on the nearer side of the roadmap [1]).

Schools in pilot are supporting these functions with a CLE integration
(using Basic LTI) that embeds CLE tools within OAE pages [2]. Some of
these tools are being reskinned for the 1.3 release, so they look like
a more natural fit, though there are still barriers to sharing content
and grades, e.g.: assignment attachments cannot be submitted from the
OAE library to the CLE assignment tool (widget)

So you essentially need to support these functions, in the interim,
with siloed 3rd-party tools.
