A young female overseas student from the Green Elephant in Milton was mugged this afternoon at +/- 4:30 on the corner of Milton/ Wesley by two black males, in a small maroon car, armed with a pistol. We suspect that these are the same people who mugged an employee of the Green Elephant recently. They may be targeting the lodges in Milton - so please watch for and report: Two black males in a small maroon car The young lady who was mugged was badly traumatised and sat for an hour or so in a chair in Milton. When she was ready to be moved she was taken by a student from the Lodge to Woodstock Police Station for trauma treatment and to look at photos of suspects. The student who took her had had his car broken into last night in Milton. I was glad to find that he had used the Police numbers stored in his cell to call our Sector car and they had arrived promptly. Well done to the Lodge for having the Police numbers in their students' cells. It was great to see how well Bev Pettit and Helen Swart used their radios to coordinate a response and reaction. Clearly the radios are going to be very worthwhile. Take care and watch out, David David Raphael 072 065 7223 Chairperson OBS NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
