I witnessed the mugging while walking up Milton Rd about a block
behind the students. I didn't see the getaway car, which was parked in
Irwell, but according to other witnesses it was a Golf 3, or Jumbo -
the next shape up from the Citi Golf. The muggers were 2 very dark
guys - I don't think they looked South African, one significantly
taller than the other, and there seems to have been a driver waiting
in the car too.
Some young guys on the scene said they've seen the car cruising Obs a
lot in recent weeks and have witnessed at least one other mugging by
the same perps in the same way.
I gave all this info to the police but advise that anyone who sees
this car, or anything like it with 2 or 3 occupants, notifies the
Sector Police.
