The items were recovered by a local resident, whom we don't know by
name. The cash and 2 cameras were missing. He found from a "known drug
den" that one camera was there and could be bought back for a sum of
money. The students were insured and we felt uncomfortable about
continuing the cycle by buying back stolen goods. The inspector was
informed of this and he says that he knows "hundreds" of these places
in Woodstock and Salt River, where thieves sell their goods- either
for cash for drugs, or drugs directly. We hope this was the right
approach, but do not hold out much hope for the people to be arrested
for buying stolen property etc.
