Good point, Pam,

Sadly, when many of us see Liquor License Applications we think noise and
crime.

Maybe we should seek to highlight the excellent businesses that do
constructive things for Obs, and contribute to the Obs Festival. I must say
I admire Andrew Fife's rather lonely efforts with the Business Forum,
festival, websites, database, etc. etc.

We do not live too close to the noise of Lower Main Road, so could be amused
at the posters for last night's charity event. It is the first time I have
ever seen a charity event advertised without giving the name of the charity!

Take care,

David

Why is this discussion being conducted on ONW and not on iloveobs?
Isn't this group supposed to share information primarily about crime
and/or criminal activity? Applying for a liquor licence isn't a crime,
and there are responsible licencees in Observatory. Perhaps I've
missed something here...
