Pam This was sent to both groups, as it concerns all Obs citizens, and the way I see it from replies I have had, most people feel that we have enough such outlets. I do not live on the outskirts on Lwr Main Rd, but feel for the residents who do and are kept out of sleep half the night due to the noise coming from these clubs, I am often woken at 4 in the morning by noisy drunks walking up Station Rd.
We do have some very great restuarants in Obs with owners who are considerate regarding residents needs, however of late a lot of the new ones are only interested in making money at our expense. None of them attend the Business Forum meetings or even the festival meetings. Andrew has repeatedly invited them to both. Applying may not be a crime, but the kind of clients some of these places attract, are the very ones who do crime in Obs.
