Hi Debra has point. There are at least three different issues to decide about:
1. Installation of the alarm system 2. Monitoring of this system 3. Armed Response These can be carried out by three different firms. Most firms earn their money from monitoring contracts, typical for 24 and even 36 months. Companies may offer relative cheap installations but the control box often remains theirs. If you pay upfront for equipment and installation you can have it monitored by whoever you choose and the same for A.R.
