Hi Brian, The Mandate of the OBSID is to make Obs /*Safer* Cleaner Smarter/. Herman rd subway has been a problem, (some years ago i circulated awful pictures of its interior)however we now have a mechanism, in Vetus Schola, to take back our neighbourhood. The community has been on the retreat from crime for decades (high walls, electric fences, security gates, razer wire, intercoms etc). VS has driven car guards out of Obs ( what a pleasure) and it is not unreasonable to expect a significant reduction in crime as a result of their active engagement. There is a proposal that it be gated and that VS lock it and open it at appropriate times, since they operate 24/7/365. In my opinion this option should be pursued. The subway is a hot spot and the VS vehicles and bicycle patrollers should visit it frequently. regards, Kris
