I think you and others have misunderstood me or I did not make myself clear enough. But its not preposterous to make up crimes - just ask any insurance company! If you have to go to a police station to report a crime its a commitment and unless you were truly affected you would not consider this - unless of course you were committing the crime of fraud as I mentioned above. You obviously did not consider my statement when I went to the Woodstock police station to report malicious damage to my car and they threatened me with reporting a false crime. That they would even thing that is preposterous - or is it? Much easier to make false or inaccurate claims over reasonably anonymous email - especially if this would result in some other other action taking place - like increased patrols or the positioning of a horsebox etc. Just because you would not do it does not meant there are people that would not! People making up crime happens all the time - there is nothing absurd about it, except the act of doing it!
