But meanwhile still selling Win 98 and NT 4 just fine. You have to get
massive market penetration to get Bill back to his last bullion. They could
lose ALL the server market without upsetting the applecart at MS.

Well in our workstation usage it is simply not as great as press makes it out, and
badly need those upgrades (this was an upgrade...). Our bug list has taken a long
time to get anyone interested. Current hassle is part app related - can configure
Linux for 24bit colour and high resolution, card supports it, but X pseudocolour
apps complain that cant allocate enough colours unless it is installed with
256 colour mode!!
Linux is also a little more useable with out a GUI....
Huh?? You mean you can do more on the command line of Linux than you can
do on the command line of NT. Yes indeed. And fine for again for server type
apps where user interface isnt part of it. But we are talking Workstation here.
