I wasn't suggesting reducing the range of discussion matter but rather
separating it at its source.  If we were to split the mail into areas like:

NB: I'm not suggesting such a large number just illustrating a point...

Delphi Installation and usage
Delphi Beginners
Delphi Language
Delphi Component design and Implementation
Delphi DB
Delphi Multi-tier
Delphi Internet

The following advantages are gained:
1. Presorted mail in a form ideal for a knowledgebase/archive.
2. Reduction in noise for uninterested parties of certain areas.
3. Support for specialty areas which would be seen as 'noise' even
    in an off-topic group ie 'manufacturing automation systems' etc...

The value of this has to be weighed against the complexity introduced and
the tendancy for questions to be crosstopic...

Perhaps someone of authority (list maintainer?) could form a potential list,
call for a one time vote and make a decision based on that... (That is to
say this is not a call for votes now, starting a voting frenzy would kind of
miss the point of improving the signal to noise ratio)...
