OK, on the dev server here I have:
Acer Altos 1100, PIII 450, 386meg RAM, 4gig ultra-blahblahblah SCSI disk.
Its dual capable, but only has one CPU, tho it IS running the linux SMP
kernel (2.2.13-7mdksmp). Running on it is a stock, standard install of
Mandrake 6.1 with Apache replaced, 'cos the mandrake one didn't like JRun.
It runs Apache 1.3.9, JRun (Java-based JSP server), 2 Java CORBA servers,
MySQL and bugzilla and interbase 5.6. Its usually got 230-or-so megs used,
tho it NEVER goes down - Linux doesn't like releasing memory. It also
doesn't go up much :)
Needless to say, I _badly_ wanna see how it runs with 2 processors :)

the machine has X on it (KDE to be exact), but I only use it when I need to
install something that needs to be graphical. Its a server, damn it, it
doesn't NEED A GUI! I dont even think it has a monitor or keyboard now that
the tech's downstairs moved it - just power and network. Actually, to be
honest, I dont know where they put it (under a desk somewhere, I'm told). I
know its IP, and thats all I really care about. Actually, with CORBA, I dont
even care about that....
