I expect authority for the ones that are pure mechanics > will be delegated to the current maintainers (Eric et al for the Community > & Project portals, Bonnie for the roadmap, etc.) A few thoughts as an outside observer: 1) This committee is an OGB committee, meaning representative of the OGB. (and answerable to the OGB) 2) This committee is really only going to need to come into play, when there are disagreements about specific content 3) I would think that this committee would set some basic guidelines for what is ok and what is not. 4) Most importantly, this committee needs to setup an appeals process for posted content that is controversial. EG: Random community member X think's that a paragraph on the homepage is inappropriate. X would be allowed to submit to the committee a request that the content be evaluated and stricken/changed. 5) Currently content creation/removal approval goes into Sun management. As I understand, this committee is a constitutionally sound body that would have the power to represent the community when content decisions need to be made. (This came up when the OGB it's wish to remove certain changes from the opensolaris.org homepage, but found that the approval tree to do so was unspecified.) It is unclear to me whether the OGB has come to agreement with Sun as to who has final editorial say on what is printed on Opensolaris.orgwebpages.
