There are four parameters of a good open source project :

   1) open : open for contributions
   2) quality : high quality code and results
   3) integrity : can be trusted and reliable
   4) sustainable : is not subject to vanish over night

I think that a few of those would be subject to question lately. I
certainly see no statement of plan, public or otherwise, from the new
Oracle management.

I also see NO open communication.

There is no shortage of fear and silence from the Oracle.com email owners
on this list however. I have hardly ever been accused of being naive but
it seems to me, based on my observations and private emails I have
received, that fear was never a big problem with Sun but it certainly is
now.
