wtf more do you people want from Oracle? THEY ARE STILL PUSHING PATCHES
TO ONNV-GATE SO STOP BITCHING. You want them to hold your hand, build
binaries, QA, wake you up in the morning and spend lots of effort for
what? Last time I checked a "community" wasn't paying the light bills..
I'm not directing this at anyone in specific, as I sure as hell know
others have put in more work in than me, but this is generally what I
feel like saying when reading these threads.
Send a patch, do something or shut up.
So back to the point.. They are a corporation and I'm getting an email
in my inbox every other day from @oracle with some marketing message.
To me this is pretty clear that they are focused on generating revenue
and simply don't have the bandwidth for anything else. Forking,
bitching and doing anything other than contributing, giving them money
or being patient probably isn't going to change this.
If I really had the time to focus on this I would contact some people
from the Oracle user groups and see what their thoughts are. If we can
get them on our side then I think we'll have a lot more traction since
that's an established base of customers with a voice inside O.
If everyone else can troll on these lists so can I.. apologies for the
noise..
