I don't believe that to be true. I don't think that Sun ever actually built
Indiana; the current OpenSolaris distro isn't recognizable (to me, at
least) as either anything the community has input to or a distro that
might legitimately be described as Indiana as originally promoted.

In other words, thinking that the OpenSolaris distro and Indiana are
one and the same is surely incorrect. They were never particularly
close, and diverged significantly even well before the acquisition.

It depends on your expectation.

The public commitment by Oracle is to deliver the next release of the
OpenSolaris distribution in the first half of CY 2010. They've said that
it *will* happen, they've stated *when*. In those terms, it's not late, and
we may have to wait a while yet.

We are working towards getting more communication. And this is
something we've been working on since January. It's a slow process.
