I'm only for it, though I don't have this experience myself and I'd like to learn about it. Someone with enough background in building onnv-gate from source can probably help. Another related question would be - is there a point in making a community driven distribution based on the most up to date source? (Not a fork, just a distro which is publicly available). Current Oracle's actions (or rather non actions) seem to suggest such approach.
